I noticed on my coaching calls the other day, managers were telling their lower performers not to be a "Michael." If you have read the Millionaire Service Advisor, you know Michael sat in front of me when we wrote service together.

One day our dealer sent his wife an unsigned CSI bonus check with a note that read, "At the end of this month I'm either going to sign this bonus check or Michael is going to be fired." It was then that Michael came to me for help.

He said something about how he needed my lucky touch because everything I touched turned into gold. But what he should have said was that I had a system for handling my customers, a system I worked on for YEARS to perfect.

I have never met a really successful person that just got lucky or had "the golden touch." Whenever you have a chance to talk with them and really start to dig into it, you'll see they have a system and approach that makes them successful. Take, for example, Phil Jackson winning 11 NBA titles. If you read his recent book Eleven Rings you'll get a behind the curtain view of what his real magic was. He wasn't lucky.
