Service Advisor Time Management
If you have a clear goal – your time takes care of itself. Have a plan and follow it so the little things don’t take over your day. Success is attracted to Clarity.
Make an itemized goal sheet that your general manager and service advisor clearly set. Include things like: this month I was sell x amount of oil changes, or this month I will sell x amount of air filters. Make sure your Service Advisor tracks his progress every day so you both can clearly see how close (or far) from his goals he is.
Service advisors need to call their customers before they call them. I am a firm believer in the 2 hour call. If you keep in contact with your customers to let them know the status of their car, you will further build their trust.
