Video Best Practices
Installment #2
According to a recent Digital Dealer article the second most important Digital Marketing Trend for 2018 that you need to know is Social Video Sharing.

In the article Paul Ress the Marketing Director at J&L Marketing explains that Video was a key marketing trend in 2017 and it continues to dominate social media.
Live streaming videos are watched 3x longer than prerecorded videos and YouTube is one of the most influential tools for vehicle shoppers. In fact, 69 percent of people who used YouTube while buying a car were influenced by it – more than newspapers, or magazines – making this trend key to automotive marketing in 2018.
He goes on to say that you should expect users to watch videos on mobile more than a personal computer. Which means, not only do you need to be sharing videos on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more, but your videos have to be mobile friendly.
One item that I want add, is that with the recent changes to Facebook it is harder than ever to get videos on other peoples news feed but if you send the video to them via email and the person who watches the video then wants to share it on Facebook the videos will make it onto their timeline and get you added marketing exposure.

“VehiclesTEST’s high-quality Honda videos help customers learn about the new features for each model, and also help customers learn right from our website. In additional it helps our BDC team build value in the customer's vehicle of choice by emailing the customer the video from VehiclesTEST. When they come to visit a salesperson they already know a lot about the vehicle, which is why VehiclesTEST is such a great tool. It’s not a Honda commercial and shows the vehicle in real-world settings.”
